Career Break Cover – Sept 2015 to Dec 2016
Kildare Local Link ltd (KLL ltd) is the Transport Coordination Unit for the County Kildare / South Dublin area funded through the National Transport Authority and tasked with providing rural/community transport services in Kildare & South Dublin.
Applications are invited for the post of Manager to cover a Career Break period from 1st Sept 2015 to 31st Dec 2016.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Business, Project Management/ Administration with an understanding of rural/community transport and related issues. She/He will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications skills. Experience of interagency collaboration and negotiations with funders and key stakeholders is essential.
The role involves working with contracted private operators and company owned vehicles.
The main responsibilities of the Manager are:
To coordinate and facilitate the development of the Kildare South Dublin Rural Transport Service.
To report to the Board of Directors, its sub structures .
To liaise with and report to the NTA .
To liaise with agencies, community and voluntary bodies.
To manage the day to day operations of the service .
To prepare budgets and manage the financial requirements of the KLL ltd.
To ensure that reporting and evaluation systems are in place, which support the provision of an effective and profession al service.
To manage the performance of individual staff members and the KLL team.
