County Kildare Chamber this morning welcomed the decision by An Bord Pleanala to grant permission for the development at Lawlors Hotel.
Allan Shine, CEO of the Chamber today said:
“This decision will see a further 72 bedrooms, conference/function rooms and 111 car park spaces at the Hotel. This is great news for Naas and for County Kildare. There is a major shortage of hotel rooms in Kildare presently with 2655 hotel rooms servicing the county. The Chamber believes this decision will help addressed the current demand. The need to expand the offering of Lawlors Hotel can now be put in place and the development meets the needs of business, community groups and tourists who visit the capital town of Kildare. Once completed the Hotel will employ a further 90 people which again is great news for the town and county.”
