Chamber Executive Highlight Concerns of Small Businesses in Kildare
Chamber Executives from around Ireland yesterday (27/11/14) met with Minister Gerald Nash to discuss the issues facing Irish SMEs.
Speaking this morning, Allan Shine CEO North Kildare Chamber said “We had a very productive meeting with Minister Nash. The Irish economy has seen a tremendous recovery over the past year, but not every sector of the economy has experienced growth. Small businesses particularly are still struggling and new taxes being raised must be put towards economic development across the country. Reinforcing this message is crucial and North Kildare Chamber continue to make representations on behalf of our members in Kildare to both Local and National Government”.
Allan Shine when meeting with the Minister, said “There have been a number of positive initiatives from the Government to support businesses, but Government must recognise the pressures that small businesses across Kildare are facing. In particular the Low Pay Commission must be transparent, inclusive and realistic in its work and reflect taxation policy, competitiveness and economic circumstances for the job creating business community. ”
