Allan Shine welcomes support package but warns it may not be sufficient
CEO of County Kildare Chamber Allan Shine this afternoon welcomed the Government announcement of funding for Kildare, Laois and Offaly. “Our continued dialogue with key cabinet Ministers all week has resulted in an excellent package for business at very short notice. We believe the supports now available will enable our members to restart their businesses once more.

“We will continue our engagement over the weekend to seek clarity on our call for the wage subsidy scheme to remain at its current level for a further 3 months for eligible companies in the 3 counties. We urge Failte Ireland to start now with their funding stream allocated for the tourism hospitality sector in the region. The Chamber will now commence work with the LEO’s to ensure supports and grants reach businesses in the coming weeks.”
“The harsh reality is that the package announced may only enable a certain amount of business to survive, we may require further stimulus packages coming into the winter months,” he continued.
