Murphy Surveys in conjunction with Kilcullen Cycle Club joined forces last weekend to host the 2019 Cycle for Crumlin, attracting over 300 cyclists and raising a staggering €21,000 for CMRF Crumlin.
“We’re truly overwhelmed with the level of support and kind generosity of all those who supported the 2019 Cycle for Crumlin.” Niall Murphy, Managing Director Murphy Surveys, commented. “We had over 300 cyclists pedalling over 29,000km through the Kildare countryside on our 100km and 50km routes to help support the truly amazing work of the Children’s Medical Research Foundation, and smashing previous years’ targets to raise over €21,000 for the charity – making our total contribution to date €87,000!”
“This is fantastic achievement and we can’t thank our supporters and cyclists enough! We were supported on the day by an incredible crew of marshals and volunteers from Kilcullen Cycling Club, Murphy Surveys, Bikemarshals.ie, an emergency ambulance crew from Hearter.ie who gave up their Saturday to help us manage the event and keep our cyclists safe.”
“We are absolutely delighted with the fundraising and corporate support from Murphy Surveys over the past six years.” Gráinne Kennedy, Head of Corporate Fundraising at CMRF, commented. “We are always amazed at the amount this wonderful organisation raises for some of Ireland’s sickest children, and also the amount of staff that get involved. It’s a truly outstanding CSR model, and we really want to thank every single member of staff at Murphy Surveys for their enormous efforts as well as the support of Kilcullen Cycling Club and other supporting organisations.”
Niall Murphy concludes:
“100% of the event registration fee and all of the donations go directly to CMRF Crumlin, this can only be made possible by the support of Murphy Surveys and Kilcullen Cycling Club, and the kind generosity of our sponsors, Apache Pizza, Briqo Catering, Comerfords Bakery, Glanbia, and Avonmore Milk for keeping us fed and watered throughout the day.
