The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a newly negotiated EU-Canada free trade agreement. Once ratified, it will offer EU firms more and better business opportunities in Canada and support jobs in Europe. CETA will tackle a whole range of issues to make business with Canada easier. It will remove customs duties, end limitations in access to public contracts, open-up services’ market, offer predictable conditions for investors and, last but not least, help prevent illegal copying of EU innovations and traditional products.
The European Commission Representation in Ireland is seeking to promote the new trade deal to Irish businesses. With this in mind, they are looking for examples of businesses who are likely to benefit from the deal.
Therefore we are asking our members for input as to whether you are currently doing business with Canada or looking at doing business in the future
I am looking to get the following information please
- Do you currently import/export?
- Have you ever done business in Canada?
- If so, do you think the trade deal will make it easier?
- If not, would you now consider looking at opportunities in the Canadian market ?
