Nicole Drought, 22, from Roscrea in County Tipperary, was recently named as sportswomen.ie Irish Sportswoman of The Year. Nicole is managed and promoted by Chamber members Leo Nulty Promotions.
Nicole beat off competition including Katie Taylor and Annalise Murphy to take the coveted title, taking over 20% of the online vote.
Nicole is Ireland’s top female racing driver and in 2016 became the first woman ever to win in the Irish Touring Car Championship. Following a successful sportscar debut, Nicole was inducted to the Murphy Prototypes Young Driver Programme and for 2017, she switches to Sportscars fulltime, competing in the Global GT Light series at circuits across the UK and Ireland.
Nicole was also supported in her 2016 campaign by chamber members IT MONKEY, who also built her website- nicole.ie
Nicole is a final year student of Accountancy and Business, where she has just been made an Elite Student as a result of her award.
