New website for Naas Launched
A new website for Naas has been launched this week. The website www.naastown.ie is a web portal for the town which will list all businesses, community group, clubs and associations in the town and surrounding areas. North Kildare Chamber and Kildare County Council have co-funded the website which is a totally free platform for any business or club upon which to advertise their product, listing or just general information.
Allan Shine, Chief Executive of the North Kildare Chamber said “This new website is fully staffed- meaning that any business in the Naas area can have their information, offering or promotion promoted within minutes. Over the forthcoming weeks, all businesses, clubs and groups within the Naas area will be contacted offering them the oppurtunity to promote their offering on the website. The main advantage with this website is that it is totally free- there will no charge for any business to advertise and they can change their offering on a daily basis if they so wish.”
The support of Kildare County Council in co-funding this new venture is extremely welcome. Allan Shine explained that the funding was secured by Naas Town Council last year. “Over the forthcoming weeks, we hope to have the majority of businesses listed on the website and then we will further input information on the website on a daily basis. We will have a Facebook and Twitter page and an “Events and What on” guide. Our vision is to replicate this in other towns in Kildare in the coming months. I encourage the whole community in Naas and surrounding towns to get behind this project.” Shine concluded.
