‘High Tide 2030’ Gold Award Winning Show Garden at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2016 UK
In July I had the pleasure to work on a team building a show garden called ‘High Tide 2030’ designed by my GLDA (Garden and Landscape Designers Association) fellow Michael O’Reilly from Belfast at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2016 in UK.
The gold award winning garden was inspired by the acrylic abstract painting ‘Orange and Blue’ of Natasha Tayles authorship and it was reflected in the planting colour scheme.
The garden itself symbolised a predictive contemporary seaside garden set in the near future. The garden designer’s principal idea was to raise awareness of the public about the threats to our coasts in particular to coastal home owners caused by global warming, rising temperatures and sea levels resulting in flooding our gardens and homes.
This was amazing experience for me and I feel very proud to be a part of the gold medal winning team!
