Purple Flag – Kickstart Workshop
Purple Flag is “The Gold Standard” for night time destinations similar to the Blue Flag which is the standard for Ireland’s exceptional beaches. Maynooth will fly the purple flag as the location of choice for Premium Hotel leisure breaks, restaurants, and evening entertainment. This accolade has been achieved by 19 towns in Ireland – E.g. Kinsale, increasing tourism numbers and therefore growing employment.
Our Kickstart workshop will introduce and explain this new exciting project to business and community leaders in Maynooth. Our aim is that Maynooth will achieve the Purple Flag Status by January 2017.
